Assisting You with an Immigrant Visa or Adjustment of Status
Consular processing refers to immigrant visa processing conducted outside the United States at an embassy or consulate. Adjustment of Status refers to obtaining permanent residency from within the United States Either consular processing or adjustment of status should be thought of as the final step towards obtaining a green card. The first step requires the client to be a beneficiary of a family-based visa petition or employment-based visa petition.
Obtaining U.S. Citizenship
In essence, the process for obtaining citizenship through naturalization requires the filing an application and attending an interview. This process sounds deceptively simple, but determining eligibility is not always so easy. Also, just because a permanent resident may be eligible does not always mean he or she should apply for naturalization. For those permanent residents, whose cases are complicated or risky, consulting with an experienced immigration lawyer is highly advisable.
For Victims Of Human Trafficking, Criminal Activity, or Domestic Abuse We Can Help You Seek Humanitarian Options
Humanitarian relief includes TPS and VAWA, among others. At Larson & Lyons, LLC, we are committed to helping the most vulnerable clients obtain the benefits they desire. Schedule a detailed case evaluation with one of our experienced immigration attorneys to determine if one of the many humanitarian options is right for your case.
Waivers Of Inadmissibility Can Get You On The Path To Residency
A foreign national may be inadmissible for one or more reasons, such as (1) criminal violations, (2) prior deportations, (3) presence in the United States without a lawful entry or (4) immigration fraud or misrepresentation. When available, a foreign national may request a waiver of inadmissibility. Essentially, a waiver asks the government to forgive the reason for inadmissibility. If you are concerned that you may need a waiver of inadmissibility, we are here to help. Contact our office to discuss the details of your case.
